Since 2003, the fortress is easily accessible via a lift, situated north of the castle. You can also enter the Riegersburg climbing up the footpath trough the 7 archways, but the lift is an interesting alternative.
After all, people, who are no good walker, can also reach the castle.
Near the Station, where the lift starts, a great parking place, also for several busses, is situated.
It is also possible, to walk around the hill to the village Riegersburg and climb up the footpath to the castle.
